Sharon Osmond - founder and owner of K9 Swim
Hi I'm Sharon seen here with two of my best friends Curzon and Annie.
I founded K9 SWiM in 2013 when one of my dogs, Curzon, developed Arthritis. I knew the best thing for Curzon was to swim in warm water and realised that there was such a need for it, not only for Curzon but for all dogs out there suffering similar conditions. My long history with dogs started when I was a young girl growing up in Orange, NSW. I have also bred Weimaraners for over 12 years at my rural property in the Lower Hunter Valley of NSW and have seen great results with my own dogs that have been swimming regularly. I am passionate about hydrotherapy and physical therapies for animals.. I am an Animal Naturopath and Muscle therapist for animals and have used it extensively on my own horses, dogs and cats with outstanding results. I now extend that to our clients that come into K9 SWiM. In 2014 I was awarded a scholarship with the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia’s 2014 Professional Development Program and went to study in the UK at Greyfriars Veterinary Rehabilitation and Hydrotherapy Referral Centre. This allowed me to further my skills and knowledge in rehabilitation in hydrotherapy. Now let me tell you about my wonderful team here at K9 SWiM. |

Then, in 2017 she studied and graduated from Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services. Czarina, is now working towards becoming a Veterinary Nurse. Czarina is also a Kennel Assistant at her local shelter, and volunteers at Struggletown Veterinary Hospital as well as Sydney Dogs and Cats Home. She loves working with Companion animals, especially dogs. |
